Cupcakes

While searching through old pictures, I randomly found some food pictures I never got to post before.  Although some of them aren't the best quality--probably because they were never meant to be posted --I still thought it'd be nice to share. And I'm also going to post some old pictures of my cats.  I have a tremendous amount of pictures that are too good to be unseen. 

These are the cupcakes I made about a year ago.  I just used supermarket brand cake mix and frosting, so I'm not going to write the ingredients and directions.  When it comes to pastry, I don't really like to make it from scratch just because I don't have the right tools.  I remember trying to mix egg whites by hand and I could feel my triceps getting bigger.  I'm planning to invest some money to buy tools when I'm in culinary school and that's when I will begin posting recipes.  But for now, I'm just going to focus on decorations.  When I was making the cupcakes, I had lots of fun mixing the frosting with food coloring.  It's hard to believe that all you need are basic 3-4 colors to make a limitless number of beautiful and creative colors. 

And of course, I had to get an approval from the experts.
